A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a mystery novel written by Holly Jackson. A young, intelligent and dedicated girl takes her school project to solve a mysterious double murder. This book is all about a young focused girl who investigates the disappearance of a girl. Everyone considers that the girl is already dead and murdered by her boyfriend. The case is already closed but Pippa Fitz-Amobi the protagonist of this story thinks that there is a mystery behind this whole case.

The story begins with the assigned project given to Pippa the protagonist of this story who takes this assignment as her school’s Capstone Project. Pippa starts to investigate the whole case one by one. She interviews the people who were connected with the case such as police, friends and family. Eventually, she goes deeper with her investigation and she remains on the right track. Suddenly, she gets a threatening note from an unknown person who tells her to stop the investigation. But Pippa is an extremely focused and dedicated person. So, she does not stop her investigation. Pippa gets help from the brother of the murdered girl’s boyfriend Ravi. Pippa loses something and gets something throughout the investigation. And, Ravi helps her till the end to reveal the actual mystery. 

The rising action and falling action of the story are excellently portrait by the author. You will find multiple twists in the story but the second one will get you up at your feet. During the investigation, Pippa and Ravi created a really fascinating murder board. Except for Pippa and Ravi another character is very interesting which is the father of Pippa. He is a very charming person. He calls Pippa “Pickle” which is so cute. Finally, the end of the story is brilliant with an unexpected event happening through Pippa. 

If you want to find out everything, I have written above you need to read the book. I highly recommend this book to everyone. People who already love mystery, thriller and crime genres will put this book on their favorites. Those who are into this genre will enjoy it as much as they enjoy their favorite genre.

A Good Girl’s Guide to Murder is a must-read book for everyone. This book will not make you stop reading until the apocalypse. I am giving this book 5 stars out of 5 and this one already went to my favorite bookshelf.
