Is It Necessary to be Scared - Darna Zaroori Hai?
Edited by Sartaj Khan
Darna Zaroori Hai is a Hindi-language horror film directed by Ram Gopal Varma. This movie is the sequel to Darna Mana Hai. It is a classic horror movie released in 2006. The cast of the movie is star-packed. Anil Kapoor, Amitabh Bachchan, Suniel Shetty, Arjun Rampal, Ritesh Deshmukh, Randeep Hooda, Rajpal Yadav and many more.
The movie begins with the death of a character who goes to watch a film and dies of a heart attack. But the actual beginning is when five kids lose their way in the forest and end up in an old house. There lives an old woman in that house who tells five stories to those five kids. Eventually, those kids started to die one by one. Why did they die, how did they die, did that old lady kill them? You have to find out that by watching the movie.
This movie starts with brilliance, but I think the ending can be easily predicted by the audience. Otherwise, the movie was good. The filmmaker tried to portray the genre of horror. A quote from this movie told by Prabhakar Pandit (Rajpal Yadav) “Haadse batakar nahi hote” which means “Danger doesn’t tell when it comes”. I recommend this movie to watch if you love to be scared and want a classic vibe.
Darna Zaroori Hai was made on a budget of 87.5 million INR and grossed over 100 million INR. It was not a blockbuster but a good watch for sure.
